Grooming update: Killarney trails will not be rolled today
The City will not be rolling the Killarney trails today. Conditions are such that rolling won't provide any benefit.
WEEKEND WEATHER MAY GIVE US MORE SKIING!

If we get enough snow (and not rain) over the weekend, the groomers may be able to roll the trails.

SNOW SHOVELERS NEEDED TOMORROW AT KILLARNEY, 1 PM OR 4:30 PM
📣 Calling all members and friends of Wostawea 📣
SNOW SHOVELERS NEEDED TOMORROW
As you all know, our snow conditions are less than ideal. We have a busy weekend coming up with Jackrabbit lessons, the Multicultural Association lessons, and a sprint competition on Saturday and the loppet on Sunday.
A small group of volunteers has been working on coming up with a good plan to prepare the trails for these programs. However, in order for this to work we need a large group of people to help to move, shovel and rake snow onto the trails.
We are calling for one and all to come to Killarney Lake tomorrow, Thursday Feb 15 to help.
We need teams at both 1 pm and again at 430 pm.
Please bring shovels, scoops and rakes. There is more than enough work for everyone who comes.
Please remember this is YOUR club and these activities will benefit hundreds of skiers, from youth to seniors.
We hope to see you tomorrow.

Please note that the Pisten Bully groomer is having maintenance done this afternoon after some morning grooming. We will post any updates received.

Please note that there will be some work going on today at the bottom of trail #7 that utilizes big equipment. Most trails will not be affected.

There’s no doubt that all skiers and the Wostawea club are hoping this week’s weather cooperates and that we’ll be cruising down the trails very soon.

SATURDAY UPDATE ON GROOMING
We hope the following information is helpful as you plan your March skiing:
Grooming did take place this past Thursday and Friday but it was limited because the temperature rose faster than expected.
The city plans to keep grooming whenever the conditions are suitable which is basically when the temperature is below zero.
They will continue to groom until they lose the base or conditions deteriorate. If they can still access Killarney with the PistenBully it will be used, or the ginzu if not, and if temperatures are below zero they will be grooming.
There will be no grooming today (Saturday) because of forecasted warm temperatures.
